Fort Washakie High School and WeAVE are proud to partner with Wyoming school districts who would like to offer WeAVE courses for their students.
MOU | WeAVE Coordinator | |
| Fort Washakie High School requires a formal partnership between our district and the other Wyoming district using a Memorandum of Understanding. | Once the MOU is signed at least one certified teacher who will be the "WeAVE Coordinator" for the district comes to Fort Washakie for some on-site hands on training with the WeAVE staff. When the WeAVE Coordinator is in place he or she can start requesting enrollments using our online enrollment form. |
Smarter Measure (READI) Assessment
| We are excited about a new service that WeAVE has to provide that will help your students grow. We have added the Smarter Measure assessment, formerly READI (readiness for education at a distance indicator) for you to utilize with each of your students who are taking distance education courses. This assessment is a tool for you to use that identifies levels of student readiness for online learning. It will also help you determine if distance learning is a good fit for your student(s) enrolling into a WeAVE program. This is now a requirement of the Memorandum of Understanding that is in place this year and is part of the Distance Learning Plan (DLP). | ||
Distance Learning Plan | Wyoming Department of Education Switchboard
| Along with the enrollment request, a Distance Learning Plan [DLP] is created. This is the documentation between the partner district, WeAVE and the Wyoming Department of Education regarding student enrollments in distance education courses. | Distance education within Wyoming public schools is regulated by the WDE. All course providers must be registered on the Wyoming Switchboard Network. WeAVE is registered and all of our course information is avialble from their website. The DLP is used by the WDE to track which students are enrolled in distance education courses across the state. Information provided in the DLP will be used by the WDE and will be needed for districts to fill out their Form 591 and 600 every year.
